The game will give you some premium currency for free as you play, so you can try out these features without spending real money. You can also purchase high-level Nommies instantly with premium currency. For instance, you can turn on a “Gold Boost,” which doubles the amount of coins you’ll earn for a limited time. While Om Nom: Merge is free-to-play, the game does offer optional ways to spend premium currency ( real money). While you’ll receive free Nommies automatically over time, you can also spend your coins to instantly purchase Nommies and keep the merging going. The higher a creature’s level, the more coins it will create each second. You can drag the creatures you create onto the forest floor at the top of the screen, where they’ll automatically eat fruit and generate coins. Once you create (or purchase) two Level 2 Nommies, you can merge them into a Level 3 Nommie, and so on.
For instance, if you have two Level 1 Nommies, you can merge them into a Level 2 Nommie. The gameplay in Om Nom: Merge is similar to that of games like Cat Condo, in that you’ll start with only a few low-level Nommies in your collection, but you can merge them to create higher level creatures.
